Privacy Policy

This is a short policy because this is a small site that collects very little. Nagira Catering (“we”, “us”) runs nagiracatering.com. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit it or get in touch, and your rights under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

What This Site Actually Collects

Nothing, directly. This website doesn't use cookies, doesn't run analytics or tracking scripts, and doesn't have a server database — it's a static site with nowhere to store anything even if it wanted to. The contact form on this site doesn't submit your details to us either: filling it in and pressing send simply opens WhatsApp with your message pre-filled, ready for you to send yourself. Nothing is transmitted until you do.

What Happens When You Contact Us

When you message us on WhatsApp, call, or email, you're sharing information directly with Nagira Catering through that channel — not through this website. That typically includes your name, phone number, email address, and whatever event details you share (guest count, date, occasion, location). We use this only to plan and quote your event, and to follow up with you about it. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing.

WhatsApp itself is operated by Meta, and messages sent through it are also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy, which we don't control.

How Long We Keep It

We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as reasonably needed to deliver your event and maintain business records afterward — not indefinitely, and not for any purpose beyond that.

Third-Party Services on This Site

• Google Maps — our Contact page embeds a Google Maps view of our location. Google may set its own cookies when that embed loads, governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
• Social media links— links to our Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and Facebook pages take you to those platforms directly. Once you're there, their privacy policies apply, not this one.

Your Rights Under Kenyan Law

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, and as the data controller for information you share with us directly, you have the right to:

• Ask what information we hold about you and why
• Ask us to correct information that's inaccurate
• Ask us to delete information we no longer have a genuine reason to keep
• Object to how your information is being used

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled a request, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC), Kenya.

Children

This site and our services are directed at adults planning events, not children. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

If how we handle information changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
